Wint, a company specializing in "water intelligence," has secured $35 million in a Series C funding round. Originating from Israel in 2011, Wint has created a water management solution that combines AI-powered software and connected hardware.

This system is designed to identify and prevent leaks, providing alerts to users about potential leaks and the capability to automatically halt operations if a leak is detected. Wint's customer base encompasses a wide range of industries, from facility management and construction to data centers and enterprises seeking to enhance their environmental sustainability reports with factual information.

The company boasts an impressive array of clients, including prominent names like Microsoft, Google, Mastercard, HP, and Dell.

Cash flow

In the previous year, Wint secured a Series B funding round of $15 million, with leading participation from Insight Partners, a well-known New York-based investor with a history of supporting platforms like Twitter, Tumblr, and Shopify. For the Series C funding round, Insight has once again joined forces, co-leading it with Czech climate technology fund Inven Capital. Additionally, Taronga Ventures also participated in this funding round.

This funding arrives at a time when there are increasing apprehensions about water shortages in numerous global regions, prompting various startups to devise solutions to address this concern.

Wint CEO Alon Geva noted in a press release

“We’re excited to close this round at a time when water scarcity and climate change are becoming some of humanity’s greatest challenges, while the costs of water leak damage in buildings are reaching unacceptable levels for insurers, owners, developers and contractors,”
